We have configured a Demonstration Internet Filter so that you can configure your home computer to temporarily access the internet through the filter.
Note the following:- The Demonstration Internet Filter will only work for websites. It will not filter, monitor or log peer-to-peer connections, instant messaging etc.
- The Demonstration Internet Filter will probably slow down your internet browsing slightly because of the speed of our internet connection. Removing the demo settings will speed up your internet again. This will not be the case for the product that is installed in your home.
- Any internet connections through the Demonstration Internet Filter will be logged, but this cannot easily be associated with any specific individual.
- No information that goes through the Demonstration Internet Filter is stored on our server for us or anybody else to access.
Enabling the Demo for your computer
The following describes the steps for configuring Internet Explorer to use the Demonstration Internet Filter. Please see the downloads page for an automatic installer if you prefer that.- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools in the menu bar
- Select Internet Options ...
- Click on the Connections tab
- Click on the LAN Settings... button
- Click in the box beside "Use a proxy server for your LAN . . ."
- In the Proxy Server settings boxes type in the following:
- Address: webfilterdemo.futuragts.com
- Port: 8080
- Click OK twice to save the settings and return to browsing the web.
Removing the Demo setttings from your computer
The following describes the steps for removing the Demonstration Internet Filter settings from Internet Explorer. Please see the downloads page for an automatic installer if you prefer that.- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools in the menu bar
- Select Internet Options ...
- Click on the Connections tab
- Click on the LAN Settings... button
- Remove the check mark from the box beside "Use a proxy server for your LAN . . ."
- Click OK twice to save the settings and return to browsing the web.
